We can assume that the Messiah is not simply a "sign" that the Messianic Times, or End Times, are underway. The Messiah is the author of History in the Messianic Times. This means that the world itself finds its perfection thanks to the actions of the Messiah himself.
It is said that God declares to the Messiah: "You are now ready to fulfill your mission." The Messiah responds: "I am ready", but is then gripped by doubt at such a sudden statement. Therefore, the Messiah asks God for confirmation, saying: "Am I ready?".
All we know about the Apocalypse is that it is a leap of humanity towards the Absolute of God.
From Christ comes a power that sanctifies everything.
Only our Heavenly Father knows the date of Jesus Christ's return to Earth, WHETHER He is already on Earth, and WHO the Messiah is. We only know that praying for Christ's return hastens His coming. Let us pray for that return!
The power of the Messiah is not an earthly power on Earth, but a heavenly power that comes down to Earth to help govern it.
